Assessor

James is passionate about working with and supporting people to live independent lives.  He has worked in Adult Social Care for over twelve years, firstly as a care coordinator assessing people’s needs and supporting their independence through arranging care packages and equipment adaptations to their homes.  He then moved into the Assistive Technology Team where he specialises in training colleagues, promoting technology, and enabling it to be used more widely for people who access social care.

James finds being a DSA assessor fulfilling as it helps introduce students to technology that enables them to reach their full potential.

James has a background in music having completed a BA Hons in Music and was a guitar teacher many years ago.  He has a keen interest in Philosophy, Economics, and History, and is an enthusiastic motorcyclist.
