Assessor

Amanda has worked as a Study Needs Assessor for ten years and has a further seven years experience of working with and supporting students, with a wide range of disabilities, as a Mentor and Study Skills Tutor.

Amanda got into the industry because she underwent a DSA assessment herself and thought that the whole premise provides a wonderful opportunity for disabled students to grow and show their true potential. Her expert area is Autism, as she has a daughter who is severely autistic.

What Amanda loves most about her job is seeing the relief on students’ faces or hearing it in their voices when she tells them about the support available. They realise that they don’t have to battle to overcome their barriers anymore as we, as a team, are there to support them.
