Job Details: Trainee Freelance DSA Needs Assessor

A2B Assessments is an independent DSA Needs Assessment Centre who are looking for Trainee Freelance Study Needs Assessors to join our growing team. We have a proven track record of providing excellent customer service and built a reputation for delivering high-quality Study Needs Assessments. 

A2B assessments are continually committed to improving our client’s experience and are looking for like-minded people to join our team of freelance Needs Assessors.

The ideal candidates must be personable, possess excellent communication skills, and ideally understand how disability impacts learning and/or experience working with vulnerable individuals. The candidates will ideally have a background in customer service roles and be able to produce detailed reports within set deadlines.

Duties will include:

  • Pre Assessment preparation and research
  • Conducting Needs Assessment interviews
  • Demonstrating a wide range of Assistive Technology
  • Producing detailed reports containing effective support strategies 
  • Meeting deadlines
  • Responding to student and funding body queries
  • Regular attendance to CPD events and training (provided by A2B Assessments)

Qualifications and Experience

  • Customer Service 
  • Report writing skills
  • Working to set deadlines
  • IT Skills
  • Communication skills
  • DBS (desirable)
  • Working with vulnerable individuals  (desirable)

Other Skills and Knowledge 

  • Ability to plan, prioritise and organise own workload
  • To be proactive in undertaking continuing professional development

The successful candidates will be provided with comprehensive induction training on all A2B Assessments IT systems, processes and procedures.

Candidates are advised that applications will be reviewed as they are received. As a result, candidates may be invited to a first round telephone interview before the application closing date.  

Second round interviews are scheduled to be held, remotely by video call, during the week commencing 18 January 2021.
